What a bizarre series of obsessive posts.
To clarify, no, I do not and have not ever approved of things like that. What I rail against, and will continue to do, is the blanket carpeting of left wing fuckwits like you of people who do well, and the complete misrepresentation of executives of major companies, based on bitterness and jealousy because of their own pathetic lack of accomplishments and feeble little lives. The vast majority are ordinary, hard working people, who are their on merit - and the attitudes of people like you are every bit as pathetic as the blanket carpeting of benefit claimants and muslims. Only difference is that you have your right on approved targets and don't offend anyone's politically correct sensitivities by doing it, so continue on you ill-informed, mis-directed little path to loneliness and jealousy.
Take your head of out of your arse you sad little prick. There's plenty of people on here who've done well for themselves. They all did because they worked for it, while twerps like you were pretending to be 'cool' and right on, while the rest of the world is throwing you a massive wanker sign.

Why do you think the contract was on offer with the club suggested agent?

Westley's son is not good enough. Can't stand nepotism!
The dad is making it sound like we missed out on the next Messi just because of his choice of agent. If he was that good no way any club would release him because of that. No surprise his Dad reckons his son is better than he was.

Johnson, that's like complaining that a company director's son was given a managers job in the company he runs. It's not particularly fair, but it's life.
Funny enough, Griffin is all for stuff like the above.

Is that what they're doing with the Academy Director's son then who's not as good?

If he's played consistently at under 21 he's obviously got ability, unfortunately not enough to cut it at the highest level. The kid has a value, the clubs agent will go out, big him up, and secure the best deal for agent and club. They give him a Contract and that will increase his value.
Depressing but that's the way it is.

Interesting and sad, but we're probably not getting the full story here. Every year we see these lists of young players being released by the club. Obviously it happens at all clubs, and the disappointment and disillusionment must be intense for the young players and their parents. Let's hope he finds another club and has success at some level.

So does anyone know the full story behind Nick Haycock leaving us then ? Was it Allardyce ? Performance related ?

Griffin, you're taking a very LEFT WING kind of stance on this thread.
It's seems you're very keen to protect the little people and trounce the big bad dictators when it comes to making it in football, but when it comes to real life, stuff that genuinely affects people in their day to day lives, you're happy for the big bad dictators to rule the roost in any way they deem appropriate, and for the little people to get on with it and stop moaning.

Why the offer of the contract then but only under the preferred agent?
If he'd taken it and they couldn't sell him, that's even more money wasted.

If they wanted to keep him they would have done regardless of who the agent was

So you're saying they offered him a contract via a preferred agent because they wanted to sell him?

'10 years wasted' Do me a favour. The boy has had the best coaching, never had to pay signing on fees, free boots and kit, had the best medical treatment, trips abroad to the tournaments. Most kids just want to play football. These parents are deluded. I've done exactly what this guy has done driving all over the place for years but I was under no illusions, the rewards are high for the very few. I was happy that my boy had been picked out and was getting the best training that no amount of money could buy.
As for the business with the agent, the club have realised that he's not going to make the grade, so they work with an agent who will boost his profile, put his name about, and secure him a contract down the pyramid I.e. League 1. That way everyone gets a share of the pie. Clubs invest a lot of dough in young players so it's natural to try and get a return.
